Native American and Alaska Native Artists Only Purchase Initiative
Calling all Native artists! The Art in Public Places Program at New Mexico Arts announces the 2019 Native American and Alaska Native Artists Only Purchase Initiative. The project is open to Native American or Alaska Native artists who reside in the United States as well as galleries in the U.S. who sell the work of Native Artists. Galleries may submit qualifications on behalf of any artist represented by the gallery, regardless of the artist’s residency, so long as the artist identifies as a member of a Native American or Alaska Native tribe or community. All media in all genres, suitable for interior or exterior display, will be considered for purchase and display at publicly accessible buildings throughout the State of New Mexico. Project amounts are $1,000 – $50,000 all-inclusive. Please check out the Call for Artists on Café. The deadline for submissions is January 24, 2020.

Crowdfund for creative community projects and get your dollars doubled through Artists Lead!
ArtPlace America is excited to announce the Artists Lead! match program. ioby has partnered with our friends at ArtPlace America to support artist-led projects that create community change. Through Artists Lead!, artists using their skills to address local community issues can access up to $15,000 in match funds for every dollar raised through their ioby crowdfunding campaign.

Apply to the New Mexico Art League’s Small Works Holiday Show!
The New Mexico Art League’s festive and fun annual exhibit of works of all subject matter and media, all in a nice small package. Perfect for gift giving for the holidays! Deadline for entries is Saturday, October 19, 2019. The exhibition opens Tuesday, December 5, 2019 and runs through Saturday, January 11, 2020. The artists’ reception is Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 5 PM to 7 PM.
