Musicians! Create a web profile and go on tour!
The Western States Arts Federation has created a new online resource called IMTour to connect musicians to performance venues across the West. Independent musicians are invited to create a profile at https://www.imtour.org/#/ to start finding gigs and gaining exposure!
Apply to participate in the “15 in 30” Challenge this winter!
gallupARTS is excited to issue an innovative challenge to local artists this winter. “15 in 30” challenges artists to create 15 small 2D works (paintings, collage, etc.) in 30 days. All artists are invited to apply. Accepted artists will be provided fifteen (15) 5”x7” canvas boards, and will have the month of January to turn their canvas boards into a 15 unique artworks or an artwork series. Artworks created for the challenge will be on display at ART123 Gallery in downtown Gallup from February 9 through March 5, 2019, and will be sold for between $25 and $50 each.
To apply, artists must submit the following to email@example.com:
– a letter of interest including contact information;
– an artist statement;
– a brief explanation of why they would like to participate in the challenge; and
– their initial idea(s) for their 15 paintings.
Applications are due by Friday, November 16, 2018 at 5pm.
