2018 Annual Report

gallupARTS is very proud to present its Annual Report, illustrating select 2018 accomplishments “By the Numbers.” In 2018, gallupARTS served 26,000 McKinley County residents and 1,500 professional and student artists through 13 different programs.

100% increase in local government funding
– Significantly increased arts advocacy and action at the state and national levels:
+ Selected to participate in the 2018 National Association of Counties Creative Placemaking Challenge in Des Moines, IA
+ Presented at the 2018 Creative Placemaking Leadership Summit in Denver, CO
+ Profiled in the August 2018 issue of New Mexico Magazine
+ Best in Show Night event nominated for a “Best New Experience” Top HAT award by the New Mexico Hospitality Association
+ Presented on the importance of the arts to community revitalization to 3 NM Legislative Committees: Senate Finance Committee, Legislative Finance Committee and Economic & Rural Development Committee
+ Presented Gallup’s New Deal art project as a model for leveraging public art at the 2018 New Mexico Association of Museums Annual Conference
